Washington Freedom will look to complete a double over MI New York and enter the Playoffs of the Major League Cricket 2024 when both teams meet at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Tuesday.

Our match against MI NY on July 16 is scheduled to start at 8:30 PM ET (July 17, 6:00 AM IST). The MLC 2024 game will be available to watch via LIVE streaming and broadcast.

We continue to remain unbeaten in MLC 2024 and are on top of the points table with seven points from four games.

We beat the Los Angeles Knight Riders by eight wickets in our last match in Morrisville on Sunday. Glenn Maxwell and Saurabh Netravalkar picked up seven wickets amongst themselves whereas Travis Head hit a swashbuckling half-century to make short work of the chase. 

Netravalkar has 12 wickets from just four matches and stands on top of the bowling charts of MLC 2024 with an enviable average of 9.16 runs per wicket. The left-arm pacer has an unbelievable strike rate of 7.66, which means he picks up a wicket in under every eight balls he delivers.

 

Meanwhile, captain Steve Smith, after his unbeaten 42 against LAKR in the last match, occupies fifth place among all batters in MLC 2024 with 126 runs from four outings at an astonishing average of 126.00 and a strike rate of 140.00.

Washington Freedom have won three of their last five matches in the MLC, with one game washed off due to rain, coming into this contest. We beat MI NY by four runs in a rain-affected match at Morrisville on July 6 to kick-start our 2024 campaign.

WF vs MI NY, MLC 2024: Players to watch out

 

Player of the Match Maxwell bowled a miserly spell and was successful too, picking up 3/15 in his four overs in our last match against Los Angeles Knight Riders. He bowled a total of 14 dot balls and conceded just one boundary in his entire spell to restrict the opposition to a modest score.

 

The ever-consistent Netravalkar came to the fore again with a game-changing spell of 4/35 against LAKR. He was also the stand-out bowler in our opening game against MI NY this season with a spell of 3/24 in four overs.

 

Travis Head scored his first half-century in MLC in our last game with an entertaining 32-ball 54. He showcased his wide array of shots and aggressive intent smashing six sixes and two fours during his knock.

 

Steve Smith was instrumental in our previous win against MI NY remaining unbeaten on 46 of just 28 balls. He plundered 22 runs off Anrich Nortje’s first over which proved crucial as we were ahead of the DLS par score by four runs when rain stopped play.
