The Washington Freedom is looking for Winter and Spring Interns
We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic and professional individuals to serve as interns with the Washington Freedom. Interns will work with the marketing, communications, operations, sponsorship fulfillment and community relations departments. This is an excellent opportunity for experience with a professional sports team committed to success.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Support marketing, communications, operations, sponsorship and community relations initiatives including advertising, public relations, game day operations, player appearances, contests, clinics and other community promotions
· Attend Freedom games to assist with promotions and game day operations. Attend various events to promote the Freedom including grassroots soccer tournaments and other soccer events, street fairs, player appearances, camps and clinics, etc
· Responsible for the set up and break down of Freedom booth and interactive games at events
· Assist with various office tasks
· Other as needed
Qualifications:
· Outgoing enthusiastic personality
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills
· Passion for soccer and sports marketing preferred
· Equivalent of high school diploma; some college preferred
· Must be able to work weekends and evenings
· Must be able to drive to events
